Civic Project Goes to Next Stage

At a packed Council meeting, plans to build a new theatre, civic centre, car park and offices at a gross cost of £90 million were passed by the Full Council. There were 13 who voted against, and 4 abstentions. 

Councillor Julian Stanyer, who voted against the proposal, said:

Preparations are being made at Tunbridge Wells Town Hall on Wednesday for possibly the biggest debate in the Council's history since the debate over the original Town Hall complex seven decades ago.

James McInroy sailed home for the Conservatives in Thursday's election.

James won the County Council Elections for Tunbridge Wells West with 55% of the vote.

Alan Bulliona Lib Dem 884 Votes

Alan Butcher Labour 718 Votes

Teresa Calls Election June 8th
