Election Results Buck the Trend

Jubilant local conservatives exceeded all expectations in Tunbridge Wells and blew the opposition out of the water. Local Agent Andrew Kennedy said:"I never doubted that we could do it, but the scale of our victory was outstanding, and is being noticed by journalists and CCHQ officials. Not only did we stop the UKIP steam train, but we turned it back.  Since the KCC elections last year... UKIP vote down from 30% to 23%
Conservative vote up from 38% to 46%
Swing from UKIP to Conservative of 7.5% (the best result in the UK)
And, thanks to the work we did locally

Tunbridge Wells was the only dictrict in Kent where we beat UKIP at the EU election!"
