Clark proposes action on Gatwick noise

Following a public meeting at Langton Green Village Hall in July, Greg Clark, MP for Tunbridge Wells has written to Sir Howard Davies, Chairman of the Commission on Airport Policy  to commend a paper prepared by a local study group led by David Howden, a resident of Langton Green. The paper reflects local residents’ concerns about this issue and a full copy is attached.

One of the key recommendations in this paper was to form a local Aircraft Noise Management Group which can properly represent the local community.

Greg commented:

“I think the study group has done an excellent job, in a very short timeframe, and I have written to Sir Howard Davies to commend the paper to him.

I think the idea to form a local Aircraft Noise Management Group with representatives from Kent County Council, Tunbridge Wells Borough Council and appropriate local Parish Councils is a great idea and I am assisting David Howden with the formation of this.”
