Local Sports Clubs Going from Strength to Strength

Local sport has been boosted by the announcement of a new sports pavilion at Langton Green.

The Langton Green Community Sports Charity has been awarded a grant of £384,000 by the Premier League and FA Facilities Fund towards the building of a new sports pavilion on the Langton Green Recreation Ground. Speldhurst Parish Council, who own the land have guaranteed that sport can be played there for the next 30 years.

The news came as Rusthall Football Club which was founded in 1899 is now running over 20 teams from under 6 through to under 18's with 3 senior men's teams The first team play in the Kent Invicta League which covers the whole of the County.

The Club are planning huge changes which will include levelling the main pitch and putting up floodlights.

The news came as local Conservatives from West Kent met with new Sports and Tourism Minister Tracey Crouch to talk about what is happening in the area.
