Mayor launches new bus link

The Mayor and Mayoress of Tunbridge Wells, Councillor Julian and Mrs Anne Stanyer, have launched a major investment in local bus services.

Arriva Southern Counties have invested £840,000 in six new buses, which will be used on Service 281 between High Brooms and Rusthall via Tunbridge Wells town centre.

The buses, which are in distinctive green and blue livery feature new 'micro-hybrid' technology that reduces carbon emissions and gives greater fuel economy.

The town cenre link element of the service is complemented by Arriva's £1 shopper hopper ticket which allows unlimited travel on all Arriva buses in the town centre and links the Pantiles with the Royal Victoria Place.
