Stonewall Park Road House Goes to Appeal

A proposal to put up a 3-Bed house to the rear of Dashpers in Stonewall Park Road, Langton Green, has been referred to appeal.

The Council has refused permission for this application.  As a result Portfolio Homes has/have appealed to the Planning Inspectorate.The Council refused the application for the following reason(s):

"The overall size of the dwelling proposed, its design, footprint and distance to the boundaries results in a form of development that is cramped on the site and which does not respect the context of the site and is harmful to the character and visual amenities of the streetscene. If permitted the proposal would be contrary to the Tunbridge Wells Borough Local Plan Policy EN1 and Policy EN4 of the Tunbridge Wells Core Strategy 2010."

Now, the Council and the Appellant will each submit a written statement to an Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State.  The Inspector will then make a site visit before making his decision. 

The Inspector will consider any comments made and take them into consideration when making his decision.

If you would like a copy of the appeal decision you must ask for one in your letter.

Please note that if you are submitting comments by post you should, if possible, send THREE copies to the Planning Inspectorate.
